Brodeur Partners, a strategic communications company, has an immediate opening for a Production Specialist to join our creative team. If you are a self-starting, detail-oriented, experienced print producer with the ability to produce print-ready art files for print ads, direct mail, collateral, we want to hear from you.
Successful candidates will be passionate about the industry and work closely with our creative team on a wide variety of consumer, business-to-business, technology, healthcare and higher ed clients.
The Production Specialist is responsible to build production capacity and ensure successful collaboration and organization among creative team members, while ensuring consistent client satisfaction. Duties include: Create/revise/develop new files or re-size to fit new adaptations; produce multiple versions of layouts and maintain all history of revisions; assist with developing and monitoring tracking results tied to direct marketing materials; preflight files for final output; create final PDFs for publication release materials via FTP, Box, Dropbox, etc. or publications portals; prepare comps, mock-ups, and boards for internal meetings; handle technical duties to include scaling, cropping, retouching, repositioning and eliminating defective and excessive imaging; write/maintain process documentation as necessary; consistent application of internal project management standards to your workflow and ability to apply new standards as directed.
Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts or related field; minimum three-years of experience (combined in both design AND print production in an Ad Agency setting), direct marketing experience essential; must be an organized self-starter and problem-solver with ability to quickly adapt to change and develop creative solutions; must be able to multi-task, juggle shifting priorities, and have strong attention to detail; excellent communication (verbal and written) skills; must have proven traffic, asset organization and management skills; must be proficient in current software applications including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro; have a strong knowledge of typography; understand the application of brand standards; knowledge of four-color printing, newspaper, and grayscale; create press-ready pdfs, understand the requirements of different substrates; ability to identify and vet printing partners, photographers and other potential vendors; capable of evaluating partner estimates and negotiating as needed; video/animation experience and interest a strong plus; must be willing to educate junior colleagues about best practices associated with production and trafficking.
