John swears that his boyhood dream was to be the operator of a street sweeper. The burning desire to clean things up may have led him inexorably into a career in journalism – as a UPI reporter for two daily newspapers – before moving into politics where he ran a congressional office and worked as press secretary to a U.S. senator. John moved into PR with the founding of the Brodeur/Martin Company in Nevada in 1979, followed by the founding of Brodeur & Partners in Boston in 1985.
